This Easy DIY Project is Sweet!

If you have a dresser in dire need of a facelift, here’s an adorable idea that’s easy to execute.

The plan was to refresh a boring but functional dresser into something snazzy. It was a wooden piece painted white at some point in its life, and its owner wanted to redo it in her favorite color combination, pink and gray.

Her friend blogger Kelsey Johnson knew just what to do, and planned a special look for the drawer fronts – lace!

After removing the hardware, the whole piece got spray painted in soft gray.

Then the magic began.

They draped lace over the drawer fronts, making sure the pattern was straight, and spray painted them pink! The lace peels away easily when it’s dry.

The hardware also got dressed up with shiny metallic paint.

And voila! How cute is that?

This easy technique of using lace as a stencil (genius!) could be applied to so many things, and the color combinations are endless. Let us know if you decide to try this and share your results. We’d love to see them!
